Brick lined pit furnace with removable alloy retort and air operated side-swing lid. Lid is equipped with 2 HP direct driven alloy recirculating fan and seals positively on the retort by means of mechanical gasket seal and several swing-bolts. Rod type NI-chrome heating elements, supported on brick lining, surround the exterior of the retort. Furnace is designed for use with an atmosphere, however furnace includes no safeties or flowmeters. Furnace includes a quick-cool system which utilizes and external water to air heat exchanger to cool the exterior of retort and work load. A cooling blower is used in conjunction with the heat exchanger. NOTE: height of lip of furnace is 8'9"H. |
